Moons

Moons

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

"
Penelope
the wife of Odysseus
a scar upon titan
the largest of all satellites
we thought
the queen of Ithaca
the daughter of Icarus
was unmatched
until we measured
all the gods upon our sky
before the stars
that we could see
saying plain
there is no question
you have answers to
  our flaws...
there is only light
painting rocks
in the very, very dark
a war against our time
between a purpose
beyond our time
and your eternity
where nothing
becomes everything
just a scar upon rocks
flawed
closer, to god

I really enjoyed this work, thanks for sharing. I sometimes struggle to pick out parts of a poem and review things from a critical standpoint, I can't pick out particular elements that I could tell you you mastered, or fell short on, but I can tell you I enjoyed the work. It felt quite different from your usual works for some reason, but certainly not in a bad way. It felt fresh, new and interesting. Keep it up.
