It's OK to be mad. Shows that you are using all the emotions and you are alive. There are many references to. music in this piece. Music is a mood changer. I like variety in mine. Classical compositions can touch the soul. Can elevate the spirit. I need that. Elgar and Vaughan Williams do that. British composers. I'm proud of my heritage.

But for the British classical, I think Henry Purcell is highly underrated outside of England. People usually think of RIchard Wagner or before him Bach and Beethoven, when they think of classical opera's these days. When in fact it was (partially) Purcell's work that probably defined the modern classical opera as we know it. He was easily an equal or better than the likes of Bach, Handel or Beethoven (Wagner wouldn't even exist without his efforts). The entire baroque age of music was partially defined by Purcell. He had a large body of work but I specifically remember Dido and Aeneas as one of my favorite operas of all time. It's an hour or so of your time well spent.

Good morning from beautiful Spain..
Enjoyed the read although it did sound angry.. I just read the review Chris gave you and your response..funny because I just finished practicing a new Chopin piece.. I only play classical music..
Started playing piano when I was 50!! Now I am nearly 74...I do listen to other music..
I have an amazing teacher and take lessons every week. Your reference to music and poetry was great..

I can relate to the intensity, the creative, destructive force that sometimes bubbles up from the depths of one's soul. It's an ideal, maybe a remnant of an ancient freedom we once had.
Great piece, I have some experience with spoken word poetry, and I feel like you captured the essence of it extremely well. Powerful words, poetic message. Thanks for sharing, keep writing, and I’ll keep reading.

Ha, not yet I think. I see it more as skill than being pretentious. You have a good sense of humour .. read moreHa, not yet I think. I see it more as skill than being pretentious. You have a good sense of humour though, intentional or not.
