Like many of your poems, I like this. I think it sticks to your strengths in particular. The short and to-the-point lines that rely on the strength of their words' meaning have always been a strong point for you. It kind of reminds me of Charles Bukowski, but it's definitely still you as well. Thanks for sharing.

When our pets die, we feel the grief with an intensity. I don't understand those who say, it's just an animal. Our pets are family. They are creatures of habit and they are always there. Their absence hurts. If you have lost a pet you will understand that. I know you have a cat. I very much like your posted image of the sun and moon.
