You Must Risk Comfort

You Must Risk Comfort

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"
when it hurts
you should try harder
when it hurts
you must risk comfort

 for when you grow
 the strongest
 the fastest
is when you suffer
is when you struggle
in all of your efforts
when it hurts
is when you grow

when you expand the furthest
is when growth is most painful
and the struggle very regular
when great effort requires great courage
is when growth comes truest

in your mind before your body
you must risk comfort
risk failure
you must risk safety
to reach the mountaintop
you are supposed to hurt
you are supposed to struggle
you are supposed to suffer
in your mind before your body
you must risk comfort

Very enlightened poem which only speaks to truth and inner growth. You learn nothing by standing still and refusing to proceed forward on the road most challenging. Grow from failure and recognize your strengths in attempting to be better, do better. You learn absolutely nothing from not trying and watching others succeed over you. Thank you DDav for sharing your poem.

It's the cloudy days that make you appreciate the sunshine most.
