Thank you Fran. This piece has great meaning to me. Picking up the pieces and moving forward no matter what it meant or what it might mean, as long as were moving forward that's what is important. True meaning is in becoming, not in what we've already become. Life is always a moving thing, a living, breathing thing. It's easy to just stand there, but it's worth more to push forward even if it costs you, it pays you back if you do it right. Thank you again for your review, I like to see that kind of response, like a poem on top of a poem. It is meaningful to me.

This is great and generally in the times when you feel downtrodden and exhausted by life, you just don't want to hear these words, but hearing them as well as understanding and accepting them is in fact exactly what one needs - once you shove the emotions to the side and see yourself 'true' then yes - you can rise again.

Rising from the punishment again and again and again; what you get from that is the true secret to life. The pain and the difficulty are more real than the pleasure and the contentment. Life is hard, it's supposed to be, it's how we evolved - through struggle, embrace that or die trying is how I feel about that... and if you make it you will find things unimaginable in yourself. Taking the easy way, the path of least resistance, is just no fun to me.

Well, you know me, I think both our paths were always meant to be filled with loose rocks and gravel with an uphill climb into the clouds, backpack on, sweating like a monkey in the tropics but still summoning the energy to place one foot in front of the next .... ahhhhhh ....

I'm practicing the art of being a Phoenix now ...
