The only thing I think I'm sure of(how's that statement for hedging my bets?)is that-was there ever a day without a yesterday-I'd have to say yes, the day I was born was my first day, so I didn't have a yesterday and no one knows if there's anything after we are gone. It's difficult for me to comprehend nothingness but anything and nothing is possible.

It's pretty bleak looking at it like that.
Expecting something upon the threat of nothing, well.... that's no fun.
dear tk... I love the song, "Morning has Broken... like the first Morning"...
written by a British singer Cat Stevens. Hope this has meaning for you. In Music... we can experience our Yesterdays. tenderly, Pat
It seems to me that the only time is NOW! Yesterday is gone and except in our memory doesn't exist anymore. Tomorrow is found only in our imagination our wishes. We can never be sure what it will bring.
Take care - Dave

After the end there is always something new that begins. Something beautiful and magical.
And there are some things that just have to end at that and you just got to let them go.

This cryptic poem makes me wonder: is time an illusion or not?

If you move fast enough or are around an extreme source of gravity it shrinks or stretches. It's a small effect for us but GPS and satellite's in general wouldn't work without taking it into account. If you go fast enough time stops. (you can never go fast enough, there's a cosmic speed limit)
Don't you want to know what the cosmic speed limit is?

It is 300,000 kilometres per second, if I am not mistaken.

It's actually kind of intuitive and simple why it's the speed limit. Nothing with mass can accelerate to the speed of light. Acceleration makes you "heavier", the more you accelerate the "heavier" you become until you require infinite energy to accelerate further. E=mc2 describes this in math. The energy-mass equivalence. I've been drinking all day.
Time being time and yet the yearning here is painful when looking back in the past that happens so quickly... very relatable here and caught my attention... excellent write keep writing sincerely your fellow poet in writing and life :)
