Interesting take on things. The need to fit in yet be different, but also sense of self, and the need to do well, or seem well, has an effect on the people around us, and us in turn. Continually changing our world through trends, and ideas and the constant flow of change, and sameness. Very real topic for a poem. You did something I think you're extremely good at, putting forth an idea that makes the reader think without saying much. But meaning a lot. Been a while since I've left a review, but it's refreshing to read your work again. Maybe in a way, I needed that sameness even though things are changing.

I think everyone is starting to see that the need to be similarly different is inherently unsustainable if not down right illogical over time.
Of course at base, I'm more cynical. I think life is an eternal race to the bottom to rebound with what is strong enough to survive.
If you really, truly think about things long term... life in general is unsustainable.

To be presentable is to become ordinary, and wipe away individuality. Being unique is a crime, but it pays well sometimes. I'd rather be a person than a product.
this is a perfect reminder to step the f**k back and away from yourself and evaluate what the heck is going on around you - well at least for me anyway.
the norm is so damn norm at the moment - it's kinda dringing me nuts - the wilderness calls - i need a backpack on rightabout now ...
