This poem reminded me, (perhaps an irrelevant reminder) of this famous quote by Nietzsche: “Do you deserve truth? You sure seek it, but do you deserve it? If you want to see real things burning you first have to reach up to the height of the fire.”
Perhaps seeing the pieces of the puzzle it is all we are capable of, sadly. Perhaps the truth is like an objective reality - as long as we are part of this reality, we can never perceive it correctly, objectively. Meh, just thinking out loud, never mind me, I haven't had my coffee yet .... It was good stopping by

hey - yo - how are you? Me, oh I am completely bored. i am waiting for my bordness to pass live an incoming tidal wave, i've been waiting for weeks /months - ahh let's keep waiting ... time yes quick, slow. Right now it goes quick slow. I can just be thankful I have thus far used my time wisely - I think that's why I am so annoyed just now - I think I may (in my boredom) be flitting my time away - ugh - but enough of this self therapy session.

I just listened to David Choe on JOe Rogan - did yo hear that one - woah what a guy - this guy has travelled through my day with me - what an awesomely honest, raw, life grabbing human being - what awesome stories he has to tell - please tell me you heard this one - he is an artist so it may not have been on you grab list - but serilously human and seroilusly wildly living life.

Yeah, I listened to that one. He's been on before as well about 5 years ago (and was a completely different person). The rogan podcast is getting a little, eh... besides being incredibly repetitive, some of the guests are starting to ham it up and go over the top/caricaturize themselves now a days so they get extra exposure on the JRE clip site. That dude strikes me as one of those people, someone who knows how to put on a show, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as those podcasts are for entertainment value first and foremost. I'd like to see what he's like without being on a podcast though, he's incredibly raw and incredibly open with his emotion's. Did you know that he's worth around 300 million dollars? He did some artwork for facebook way, way back in the day and instead of taking cash payment he asked for stock in the company and that stock eventually turned into 200+ million dollars when Facebook went public in 2012. He's literally the richest street artist in the history of street art by a margin of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Reads like a metaphor for drinking life up in slow sips, so as to enjoy it and make it last.

A lot of times we see things not with a wide view but a narrow one. Like staring at the expanse through a straw or measuring our lives out in seconds.

Makes sense. Like the difference between wide screen and letterbox.

It's how we intake data. But there is a caveat... are you willing to let yourself adjust your focus in a fundamental way? Very, very, few of us can do this. I frequently try but I only succeed maybe 40 percent of the time.

(children's brain's are plastic.... so are adults, it's just harder.... it requires more effort and focus)

The problem with data analysis is it looks at things that have already happened so no predictive model is fool proof but with the right data we can prove certain existing behaviors and influence them.

I didn't know you were a fan of advanced statistics.

I'm not but I was thinking along the lines of how data is used in programming ethical decision making and outcomes in AI. Cool stuff there in terms of values and how they differ based on varying cultures and beliefs. Autonomous vehicles for example. When faced with obstacles how do they decide which way to veer when faced with an elderly person vs a child. Western culture values the child. Eastern the elderly. Anyway...

Have you ever seen the movie "Interstellar"? It's very rare to see a movie visually and intellectually articulate the concept of distorted time. Which is a very, very, very real thing. We're experiencing right now. It's just so constant we are incapable of knowing otherwise. But if you like math... let's just say, we'd be better friends.

... this poem is probably garbage by the way. I write a lot, and I think I have good ideas... but, you know how to do this better than I do.
