Tissue Box

Tissue Box

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

"
so money is the tissue
we console all our parts with

something so tear-able
this thing we fall into
 so delicious
so purposeful
so useful

 it unites us

the things we fall down for
as they last until they don't
and then the ground

it divides us,
every time
we cry for this

This is pretty melancholy, but I love the idea that something as dirty as money would be a tissue. It's necessary to live, in most cases, but in the end, it isn't a good thing, and it's a concept that loses value when realize it's the cause of divide. But still, something so essential can be worthless under the right circumstances. Money can buy happiness to an extent. But it can also destroy it. Or, it can be just as worthless as any crumpled piece of paper.
