Dark Light

shade turns to light

night turns to day

hours pass us by

into days 

into years

into lifetimes

yet appearance 

she is rarely consistent

even time she is relative

because math 

is not really about numbers

and far beyond all the curtains

we still only see shadows

painted across a sky

before, during and after

the very great events

we were never meant

to ever witness

I love everything about this concept. The line "math is not really about numbers" is awesome too, it poses such a great question to the reader and feels like it strikes right to the heart of the piece.
