and then we didn't

but I remember

my lover

how to show you

where to find me

by the color my emptiness shines

without you

Maybe we don't fully appreciate what someone means to us until they are no longer around. Maybe we don't always know what love is. Your poem tells me there's someone and something missing.

It's the dunning-kruger effect... I thought i was more than I happened to be in real life. I really hate having self awareness, I'd prefer a more oblivious approach to the world around me.
