any journey must begin
with the first step
you capture that sentiment here wonderfully
a taste of bliss
that light which illuminates suffocating darkness
that glimmer of what is to come
should you follow that path through
i like this piece
short and powerful

I'm glad you liked it. I hope it's meaning is one that stays with you.
There is truth to your poem
I used to tell my daughter's, when they were younger, to take a moment to acknowledge the people around you everyday. Whether it's a verbal hello, a smile or a simple head nod in their direction can be the deciding factor in someone's " not so happy day ".
One small act of kindness....
( spark ), is all that is needed to begin a fire, that adds light and warm to another person's cold and dark day.
Keep carrying that torch.
Eventually, all storms fade, to be replaced by calm.
*Peace*Light*Love*Laughter*
A positive, hopeful message here. Too many people drag through grim and hopeless days, believing that is all there is. But as the poet states here, all it takes is the ignition provided by one good day(Of course, if we are talking about clinical depression, medication may be needed, too.).

There is a twin to this poem written in the opposite direction that I haven't submitted just yet. Thanks for your insightful review as always.
Great message. Fan that ember into flame!! All it does take is just one. Just one smile. Just one person to look your way to care. Just one flower. Just one stupid talking dog YouTube video, or friend spewing chocolate milk out of their nose--there are lots of just ones that could help us. This makes me think of Lady Gaga's A Million Reasons--we just need one good one to stay.
i love the length of the poem, it creates a really powerful sentiment to match your words which speak so much truth
you never know when you'll discover a light to illuminate the darkness or just how influential moments of life will be on your own future and wellbeing
It is just so, a true comment of the power movement and intention. Building that momentum can take some doing but once you have achieved it, watch out. Great piece!!
Your lines are optimistic and uplifting. A good day to offset the darkness many endure, is indeed a spark of hope. Nicely done I liked these words, they could bring that sprig of hope to someone in need.
