Life is all about balance. If you have balance you can live a meaningful life. Your title is perfect for this write. If the scales tip, you can be in trouble. I have seen it so many times. Drink, drugs, gambling, any addiction or mental disorder can take away that balance. Freedom is the most precious thing. Lots to consider in your lines, but all I can say is I try my hardest to maintain equilibrium. Greetings from a very cold, early morning in England.

Too much of anything is never the answer. Too much order leads to tyranny, too much chaos leads to .. read moreToo much of anything is never the answer. Too much order leads to tyranny, too much chaos leads to nihilism. Addiction to anything is usually more of a personality problem. (not to discount the genetic predispositions to coping of course, a large number of addicts are slaves to things they were born with and their battles are usually much harder).
I love that your poem points out the difficulties of being human. Trying to find that sweet spot of freedom is part of the human struggle. Perhaps using more imagery would have helped to expand on this thought. Thank you for sharing!
