earth mirth

earth mirth

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"
accidently grown
from an earth
staring at a moon
before the light of a sun

it is all so f*****g beautiful. . .

when i think of death
i think about stars
when i think of life
i think about dirt

sprouted
and grown
humans
like me
humans
like you

accidently lived
in this place
staring at faces
worrying over places
in front of a world. . .

i will always be grateful

even as i decay
into pieces
for this. . .

i will always be grateful

that i was able to think
about a lifetime
of breath
with a lifetime of people
grown from an earth
staring at stars
together like me
under a moon
in front of a sun

Sun, moon and stars look down on earth, these are the constants since our birth. Your lines reminded me of one of my own poems David. I too think of people all over the world looking at the same moon, sun and stars that I do. I am thankful for my life even when it becomes challenging, and it often does. Dirt for life for birth and regrowth, stars are for gazing on and remind me of the spirit world. Greetings from me on a dull November Sunday.
