failure is just a reason to succeed differently

you gotta fall down to get up

you gotta feel pain to know pleasure

you gotta know death to live fully

and sometimes. . . 

you gotta destroy yourself

to build it back even better

(than before the fall)

to write an even better chapter

(truly happily ever after)

as an even better version

(of a better human). . .

you gotta get up to come down

you gotta get down to get up

you gotta know 

to understand

. . . that life's a b***h

but she's always worth it

             and that i promise

             you might just find it

Very Inspirational, keep writing. You spoke a lot of truths of life and its upbringings. Makes you strong and weak at the same time but its all about the rise which makes you unstoppable. A warrior. Sincerely your friend in life and writing.

I really like the message. Lifes a b***h but you've got to know the pain to know the joy. I like that moral because it's the most true thing I've ever heard. This flows nicely and I think that the parentheses are unnecessary... Nice work, Dave! :D

I use parentheses as kind of an echo. The lines I parenthesize don't really fit stylistcally but I feel like I need to include them none the less. If I was less lazy I'd find a better way to incorporate them but, eh, that seems like a lot of work and I have cat piss to scrub out of my basement carpet.

You're right though... the parentheses are probably a mistake.

Aha- most people italicize those word to empasize them. Hahahaha! Have fun scrubbing the cat piss! Cat pee REEKS grr. Cats are kinda b*****s, finding ways to get revenge on us. But still we love them. Sigh.
If the parentheses work for you- then that's fine; because you're the author. It's your thoughts. They don't have to be perfect.
