I never would have taken you for a piano player...I guess i have, indeed, been guilty of failing to try to get to know you.
I am unnerved by your saying that you've killed men for money.
Here's a question; do you mean that you have actually murdered people for money, targeting a specific individual, or that you were in some branch of the armed services, indiscriminately murdering as many men as possible, because they were 'the enemy' and drawing pay for it?
As you have probably surmised, I condone neither, but it did make me curious.
What style of piano playing do you do?
Music; now that is something that interests me.
Tell me about that.

Let other countries solve their own problems.
How would our government would like it if some guy from, say, Denmark came over here and said, "Do things my way, or I'm coming in here with my army to start killing people."
Sure, most of the slain are going to be soldiers, but I'm sure you know what COLLATERAL DAMAGE is. Sometimes it's just one innocent civilian, sometimes just a few, sometimes thousands. There were more than 31,000 civilian deaths, for example, in Afghanistan.
So, yeah. That's what I think. There's a great song, sung by Roy Zimmerman (folk singer), called THE LAST MAN. It's about "the last man to die in Afghanistan--oh, what an honor!"My favorite line: They could have chosen anyone/ But they chose me over their own son."

War is a very complicated and traumatic thing that until you are intimately involved in it you will never understand what an individual soldier has gone through or how they do their job while deployed. We don't care about the politics, we care about the men next to us and getting back home in one piece. Using song lyrics and misinterpreting mortality stats (you know that terrorists blow up their own people, right? Those deaths are included in those stats) to justify the opinion that soldiers are indiscriminately mowing people down is extremely ignorant. Your cliched viewpoint can perhaps apply to the political side of it in terms of whether we should or should not be involved in the first place, but, don't try and paint all soldiers as murderers because that's just not the reality of the situation and it's intellectually lazy.
