Lighting Matches In The Rain

Lighting Matches In The Rain

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

the things we do in spite of. . . (I miss you)

"
i will never stop trying
there is always a chance
to start that fire inside
lighting matches in rain

you can call me insane
still i will never stop trying

as there is always that chance
and not one thing is certain. . .

we must never stop trying
to find our light in the darkness

no matter the weather
   you must never stop trying

Gee
I was chatting to a work colleague yesterday whose daughter topped herself on 7th December last year, her own daughters birthday. The above perfectly described how she is trying to find a way to move forward, but is terrified to do so because of the reality of her daughters death finally becoming a truth.
The counsellors tell her that she is suffering from some form of PTSD....so, so sad. I've had a few phone conversations with her that would break your heart.
Anyway, waffling done, hope you are well David.
