This is why cats appeal to me big time. They don't a*s-kiss. Mob lynching is never their thing. They rub against people not to show affection but to mark territory. And yes, head butting is a sign of love. :)

Anybody who spends more than an hour or two per on day of their free time on social media is in the process of becoming, or already is, mentally ill in my opinion. It's not the real world, the consequences are not the same... and the most active people online are usually only so active because they can hide behind a screen miles away from real confrontation. So they feel comfortable saying anything and cultivating completely false personalities because there are very few, if any, real consequences to being an insidious, slanderous, vindictive, faux virtuous, mob justice orientated a*s hat of a human being.

Yep. They are out there. On a previous poetry site I used to frequent it was discovered that one person had 23 accounts. One contact of mine thought she had 10 friends. They were all the same person, some male, some female, some old, some young. Some can't help themselves and make much mischief behind the screen, where they think they are safe.

This place isn't that different, lots of that goes on even today. It used to be a lot worse but the serial offenders have been exposed and either left the site or remain shamed into keeping a low profile. These last few months I've noticed a trend of high school aged users making fake accounts to "troll" themselves simply to generate attention for their "real" accounts. It's like masturbating but pretending you had sex... it's irrational, superficial, and very pathetic. Sometimes I feel bad because it's the mark of extremely low self esteem but even then - people make choices, they must deal with the consequences... if you act like an online sociopath you deserve to be shamed if it becomes insidious.
