Relationships Are For Crazy People

i walk around a clean room

in the marketplace of relationships

down very clean aisles

next to very clean peoples

and sometimes briefly 

as we pass another by

we find a face to look at

and share very deep stares

into another's eyes

until someone gets bored

and turns it all into chaos 

scorched earth viciousness 

calamity and/or madness  

for a while. . .

 until the next one

and again, the next one

to make a pathological circle

to which I find to be. . . something unsterile

so f*****g unsterile, inhumane, 

pathological,

 (and insanely exhausting)

Takes an awful amount of tongue biting, tolerance, patience to make any relationship work. I personally don't think monogamy and mankind are best suited, especially when younger, but I think meeting my wife, having a child and all of the responsibility that comes as part of the package, has made me a much better person.( Sick bag ?? )

I think the first issue here is walking around the clean room ... you will never find someone interesting in a clean room d****t ... I love people, all kinds of people, but they have gotta have a story, they have gotta have lived, they have gotta break rules cross boundaries and express life uniquely ... none of these people will be found in clean supermarkets on a Saturday night :D XXX

It certainly takes a lot of effort and hard work to stay with one person for years. However when you have children, you are more inclined to make that effort. Broken families beget broken families. If I had remained single, I probably would agree with you.

Gee, who knows, could be;you do know what poetry is about, right? If your words make a clear image in the reader's mind, or if it makes them FEEL something--doesn't have to be something good or pleasant-- then the poem is good.
This one painted a clear picture, and produced a definite vibe, so I would say it's good. I truly don't know if that says something negative about me, but if that's what you feel, then that's what you feel. Like it or not, you've written a good poem.

and again, the next one"... Indeed, ugliness inevitably creeps in and what rises must fall. It's human to be unsterile and inhumane. Yet, we go on looking...hoping, human as we are and so f*****g insane!
