It's a Mad World

It's a Mad World

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

block the "other" at your own expense

"
most of the world. . .
it's high volume cursing
murder, theft
extortion and mayhem
. . .and  the villain usually lives,
and the good guy's generally die. . .
does that vex you?
the vulgarity of our real world
(that you choose not to see)
. . . and so it goes,
regardless. . . of anything. . .
it remains the truth,
to the blind
or enlightened
to every single one of us, in time. . .
where swearing is taboo
in terms of the everyday
there is always an inverse relation
to freedom and a better place

so what does that mean to you?
(when it does not suit you)

after broken predictions

chaos is progress

until we can see clearly again

(i hate this)

but this is truth. . .

so f*****g deal with it

--- tomorrow has yet not to exist

so stay awake... doll face

… yesterday can always be corrected

How true your words, crisp, terse yet somehow cursory that they are. Interesting however. Not sure I agree with yesterday being corrective. grief - we've not discovered how to perfect war yet and switch off our planet's light!

Life throws a curve ball to those who look the other way, perhaps. Man allows time to pass with things unseen because he/she/they are too busy living in their own little boxes. Perhaps. Happens all over the world where doors and windows are barred and people no longer cross the road to Samaritanism.

The way in which your words are put together and flow with truth is something I feel we've all thought about at some point. How broken our world is in some parts and the goodness within us may want to change it. Yet sometimes, no matter our efforts, there will still be chaos and darkness. Other times, the light will devour the darkness. We don't know what tomorrow will hold. Will it be dark or light? Will there still be murder and curses or with they be renewed with better spirits? We just have to wake up tomorrow living the day to the fullest in order to see if the change comes or to continue to work towards that change. These thoughts are in my mind constantly. Very nice piece!

I don't wanna get all biblical. But I guess I do. It is prophesied in there. That in the end times. These day would come. I hate the fact that we seem to be there. But like the saying goes. Time waits on no man. Because with today's times. What's evil is good. N what's good is bad.

Thanks for sharing ur view! I really like this piece.

There is division everywhere. One man's chaos is another man's normal. I hate what I see but I prefer to remain optimistic, even if progress is slow

I feel we are still a divided nation, and mankind has suffered a mighty blow. Here's hoping for a better tomorrow!
