The most alone, lonely, I've ever felt was a few years back when I was convinced my old mum was going to pop her clogs. I was driving at the time and had to pull off the road, park up, and I cried, proper painful crying, like a small boy for about 10 minutes. Thankfully she pulled through and is still going strong, she's a tough old bird, unlike her wimp of a son.
I hate being alone, think I must have been a pack animal in a previous life :)
