to keep us close to the like

in perpetuation of their things

and the objectives of pure science
strips the black from that canvas
to illuminate all the darkness

in search of truth for all things

but the predisposition of the insidious 
means to pervert all that essence 
to remain 'holy' to remain 'righteous'

to remain relevant 

        at our future's expense. . .

all to make us believe, en masse

in a very jealous cloud man

and all his petty non sense

in the name of his 'glory'

(for it's 'gods' will... from 'gods' hands - to child's body)

It is appalling that so much abuse has gone on in churches for years. No wonder the congregations are falling. I think more and more people are realising that you can be a good person, and look after your neighbour etc, without stepping foot near religion.

I agree with that 101 percent. These child abuse scandals and the way they were covered up over the decades (probably far longer) confirms for me that organized religion has turned into an institution that puts it's material survival and public perception ahead of spiritual morality. It's why I'm technically an atheist but still believe in a deeper reality and existential purpose.

The introduction to this piece was great, it definitely got me hooked and it painted a solid image. Actually, I think my favorite part about this piece is it's imagery. But beyond that it was so well written that my heart fell apart more with every line.
