Smooth Water

some smooth alabaster

across oceans of time

from compressed little bits

of very fine works

 

but they do not work

for the denial corporation

serving hundreds

of millions of millions

meaning 

to those living

in a time

that lacks meaning

for a living. . .

and if this is true

that what i say is false

we all do work

the ending is meaningless

it's in the before that counts
