This Is The Same

This Is The Same

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"
from something embedded
       very deep inside

our active unconscious

among millions of billions
across billions of trillions
of things nearly perfectly
       almost

just like us
so we think so
just like us

from a very active
unconscious
our attraction
to what's like us
is always what drives us

through treacherous weather
through perilous odds
         we've spread and we've spread

growing up different ways to ask. . .

what the f**k is this?
  the same thing?

and can you really control
what you're interested in?

finding the same things
in different places
dressed in different clothes

doing different things
for the very same reasons

as shard's of a moment
in a time that may not never
ever come again

. . .this is our life

in fragments
in starts and in stops
in different places

the same things
under different circumstances

this is life
in different clothes
with different sounds

but like the rest of us
striving

to make sense of
the right next to us
the in between's of us

and find what indeed
     pleases us truly

until we cannot,
      say thank you

anymore ...

….

when our blade's dull
beyond disrepair
when our sight blurs
into not but shade
when our mind fails
beyond all despair

where we cannot hear
          when it ends

    where we're all the same
              once again
