My Pets Are Schooled

"your mom goes to college"

i forget about things 
   when the shoe fits

like my cats birthday 

   the foot is forgotten

and your dogs anniversary

you see, over time

my dear loved one

i was very overdosed

   on the vast minutia

   and deadly seriousness
of my hamsters very first day of school

and this,

 is all very important

like my cat's birthday

like your dog's anniversary 

   "my pets go to college"

this is stupid
