Emotional Vampire

Emotional Vampire

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"
to me that to feed. . .
is a high better than drugs

one thing i could do anything for
that thing i can pretend anything for
that thing i don't know any remorse for

so tell me just what's in your heart
then show me. . .
all the deepest, all the darkest
embarrassing secrets
you spent your life hiding
deep down in your core

feed me now
what i've been waiting for
show me everything
that you hide inside
let me feast upon
what keeps you up at night

and so, maybe you already know
that always and eventually
i'll be going way too far

because i'm a f*****g monster. . .
          one cold emotional vampire
with some charm
irresistible
and a need to feed
insatiable
           someone always lets me in
always
          and eventually
i will feed
          voraciously

When
one has an insatiable urge to feed
and another equally wants to be consumed
if it be, that the two meet at the table
the feast goes beyond feeding
it goes beyond blood
into places of bestial sucking
so dark, so shamelessly, lustfully deep
there's no way of emergence
back to light or life
and where the veil is perforated
only by their hisses and screams
and thus ingressed
the shame of one becomes
the dark secret of the other, forever

I understand that you meant the feasting in a more emotional sense yet it has a fine touch of erotic, David. Thank you for sharing. 🌞

Emotional vampires are always a good time until they aren't.

Wow, feeding and consumption in relationships. Never considered this before. I'm left thinking, I wouldn't want to be consumed, eaten alive. My deepest darkest secrets (and we all have them) stay where I want them, out of sight, out of mind, and only to be resurrected as and when I say so and for my benefit alone. Your Emotional Vampire is very needy.
