giving life to the things
that make revenue streams

mr or mrs popular and dr ad friendly

still my weird porn
and unfunny jokes
none the less remain 

all over these books

still some things. . .
will just never be cover worthy

mr or mrs unpopular and dr unfriendly

i'd love to compromise
if i wasn't all that i have

as no one can afford me

as I am...

just not talented enough

   for that risk

for I am far more

than anything safe

(never stop trying to be just what you want to)

I think poems should be whatever the writer truly wants them to be. Though I usually prefer shorter poems (I might be lazy) my favorite poet, TS Eliot, is know for longer poems of the highest quality.

Sexually graphic things and comedy are some of my most favorite things. I think that the vast majority of those who shame porn stars, sexually explicit conversations, sexually provocative clothing and other things of that nature are not being intellectually honest.

It's not the suicide that bothers me, not to say that I'm not saddened by that (it's a different conversation I think); but rather I think it's the diluting of one's true artistic and personal self that inevitably ends up being a reality in modern star culture these days. If you're not adfriendly it's highly likely that you will never become well known... "selling out" to one degree or another has become a pre-requisite almost. Adrevenue now makes more money for modern entertainment personalities than their actual creative endeavors.

Have you ever met a porn star? If you ever do meet one be sure to ask them how they feel about the subject of our above conversation. It's one of that last fronts of stardom that remains largely free of ad friendly expectations... it's probably the most unabashedly 'real' entertainment left. Or at least one of only a handful.

It's not wise to judge with blanket statements like that; porn stars are not bad people. Unless you're a virgin who has no interest in sexual impulses and sexually provocative situations simply don't arouse you in a fundamental way then I'd call you a hypocrite. Being a "Brooklyn City girl" has nothing to do with it one way or the other. Do you really think there aren't any porn stars from Brooklyn that would call themselves the same as you?

That being said, I don't at all hold it against you or think any less of you knowing that you feel that way. I'd be a hypocrite if I did.

Please don't take my disagreement as an affront to you personally. Too many writers on this site have vilified me simply for doing just that... I still respect you.
