I don't like religious indoctrination. Everyone is unique and I celebrate that. As long as no one suffers physical or mental harm as a result of another, then I can accept most things. Your poem quite thought provoking, and I am short of time this morning, but it will probably stay with me and keep ticking over
during the course of the morning. I'm sure there is a lot more to be said.

I've believed in wrong things before and I will do it again, but the whole believe or be damned threat... that's not something that makes sense to me in terms of philosophical ideology. Religion is an archaic concept to me; true believers seem willfully stupid to me.
And sometimes, there are people out there, who’s hearts break... truly break...
I’m broken, as I read this... I wish I had more to say
Very heartfelt, and I’m telling you, I definitely felt this in my heart...

Morality with a spiritual gun at your head is no different than a mercenary who shoots high value targets in the face or blows armored limousines up for money. Your belief is basically a pyramid scam... but you could never say it or you'll go to hell. Ha... good luck with that. We both know that you've violated one of the "ten commandments" - so, I will see you in hell.

My God suffered and died a brutal death to not only save me from Hell, but also you...
There’s still hope, and that’s why my heart breaks, when people can’t see the hope that lingers beside them
Truly though, religion aside, this is a beautiful poem that will touch anyone’s heart strings, and I’m humbled by the way it touched mine 😞🧡

Second off, if you think you're worshipping the same things as Jesus preached you haven't done your homework (council of nicea, etc..) And finally, if you truly think this poem is beautiful while believing in a biblical God you are either a hypocrite of massive proportions or a straight up liar... either way, by your own logic, you are destined for hell.
Send me a postcard if you get there before me.

You’re truly a talented writer.

The little talent I have in terms of writing is meaningless to me if we can't have a discussion. And I have to admit, that is my fault. Regardless of anything, I have not treated you fairly in this thread and I apologize for that. There is short book of poems from an dead Chinese monk named Chuang Tzu that was edited by a fellow named Thomas Merton... you should look into. Thomas Merton is one of my idols and should be canonized for how he brought two completely different religions together in not only a peaceful way but an incredible insightful way. You don't need to believe in anything to get truly life changing inspiration from either of them.
(forgive my spelling and grammar mistakes, I'm way too lazy right now to edit this)

I accept your apology, and if I happen those writings, I’ll be sure to try to give them a look.

Sorry if it seemed like I was ignoring Gee. I didn't realize you dropped in until 50 minutes later.
Simply Wow. slipped from my lips from reading this above by you David. Such passion, heartfelt sentiments and pour flowing of feelings. That really cut like a knife and make the point more real.
Sometimes people just think that there is only one way to live a righteous life.
The thing they don't understand that we can meet life on our own terms. Good write!
