When I read your lines I started to think about each person and their individual words and actions and how they can impact on others. On every day matters, that may not be of great consequence, but every now and again, someone says or does something which can have a huge impact on their relationship with others, and in a hugely negative way. Our words and actions are ammunition and should be used with care. That doesn't mean we shouldn't be true to ourselves, just that we should act and speak responsibly. My pennyworth for what it's worth and don't get me talking about politicians.

Though sometimes, people do need to be crassly shocked into the realization that words really are just words and we get to determine the level of impact they have on us. I would say something like... if a stranger on the internet that you've never met and likely never will meet makes you fundamentally upset to the point of devastation you need to reevaluate how you are letting fundamentally inconsequential things affect you. Being overly sensitive to how strangers think of us is a hindrance that could almost be called a mental weakness. I'd like to tell all the angry teenagers addicted to social media that if the internet "triggers" you then the real world is gonna destroy you if you don't learn how to deal with negative statements... there's no "block" or "report" button for "mean" people out there.

I loved it. I see it as a poem about making sure you really want the things you want. I don't mean material goals, but life goals. Make sure you are living your life the way you want, and should. Great piece.

I will never pretend to own your interpretation of anything I write... whatever you find in it is true if you want it to be. I find alternative interpretations pretty interesting almost all of the time.
I'm sure I'm "off-target," but I thought about Rudy and the Donald, and the past week's debacle. But, I think the military calls that a "Charlie Foxtrot." So many situations that can apply here. I especially love the music. Great choice.

But now that you mention it I think that actually fits better than my original meaning. So, I'm gonna pretend that's what I meant all along. I am seriously starting to think that Donny McFucked Face is the early stages of Alzheimers. I used to think it was controlled chaos for a reason... now it just seems like chaos due to laziness and incompetency.

It's like inviting the clown to your house for your kid's birthday party. After he's there a while, you realize it's a grown man getting paid to act like an a*s. A twisted thought, but what comes to mind.

I've seen some of his interviews from the '80's and '90's where he seemed measured and well spoken but then as soon as he started that bullshit gameshow he become a total caricature of himself. Perhaps he just figured out how to pander to a certain demographic that likes crass non-sense above all else (clown like). It didn't help that the left side of the aisle turned into a caricature of themselves in their own right. They used to value free speech and equality of opportunity... now it's "safe space" mentalities where free speech is "mean bully talk" if it's not in agreement and equality of opportunity morphed into equality of outcome. At either end of the spectrum the left and right have turned into childish reactionaries. But I think the majority of us still fall in the middle, we just don't pitch sensational fits about it like the polar ends seem to enjoy doing so much these days. I think the moderates are going to vote in large numbers in the next election. Hopefully voter turnout will be higher than it ever has been and maybe we'll get to see what America really thinks. I'm thinking it won't be anything like what the news media has been portraying to us over the past few years.
