when observed honestly life can be messy
objectively that is subjective
when applied properly drugs are corrective
likely that is deflective
when raised effectively kids are the future

The opening line reminds me of the old magnet letter boards kids play with. I like the creative use of words in line 4.
I'm not sure which hat you have on for this thought rendering, future tending poem but, I love it.

I am a pretty big fan of all things fedora.

It seems like a sacrificed meaning for arrangement and pace though... or maybe not, I seriously don't remember what this poem is supposed to mean. I think I might write too much.

I think people hide behind the freedoms of poetry and forget to hold to the creative elements of it. I don't pitch out words like flow or pace for lack of something better to say. But because your usage of words aids your message. Anywho I enjoyed this poem and my choice of words were not deflective.

Yeah, I think know what you mean. There's a few people here that I'm convinced just copy and past the same few reviews over and over again. Then there's this a couple of uber-friendly morons who copy and paste large portions of the poem and puts it quotes after it that says something vacuous like "I really liked this part" or something equally vague pleasantry completely devoid of meaning. I find that crap to be a waste of everyone's time that is really only meant to serve the ego. Fake nice people are no less egotistical than real a******s. I'd rather get an unfriendly but honest comment then a friendly but disingenuous comment. At least the former has some kind of intellectual content to think about.
