The adjectives you use are great, especially ending on "predatory" since fame preys on our insecurities of not being high enough, known enough, wealthy enough. It's glorified, but vulgarized. Nice poem.
Fame is a lot different than it used to be with the internet, YouTube, and reality TV. This is a very poignant piece. Sadly a very true and honest piece of the price and description of fame.

I wonder what happens next with this all these new venues of hyper-exposure.... hopefully something good. It can't get that much worse. The world needs to boycott the Kardashian family first though.
What's scary for every degenerate who's picture hits the news there is at least 20 people sending them fan mail.

Mass murder has been sensationalized... couple that with a psychotic mind and the recent influx of spree killers seems a little less confusing.
