It is almost inhuman

This emotional cancer

Incarnate...

Wow. Accurate. Relationships are hard enough without someone playing you the whole way through and making you think less of yourself than you are. Breakups seem to have a lead in emotional scars, so much so that I swear it's easier to stick to yourself and not let anyone in than take the risk.

Overall, it's a nice poem. There's no malice here so I think the character is the one doing the hurting rather than receiving it. I almost feel like there's an "I'm sorry for hurting you, but I don't regret a thing I did. You believed me in the first place." vibe to this piece. It's very interesting.

Why thank you. Poems about personality disorders are my specialty.

There is much regret behind the poem but it's hidden. I tried to be as detached as possible when I wrote that thing because I kinda-sorta possess some of those traits. It's really weird being self aware of yourself on that topic... at first it was self loathing but now it's more about understanding and self refinement. I almost not a bad person these days.
