Attitudinal effects upon others

Are not insignificant parts of our progress

Attitudinal effects upon others

Are why negative people are cancerous

How they rob you of your eagerness

Piss on all of your fire

Always broken and perpetually unlucky

In the category of the "can’t catch a break" mentality

To them the norm is an inevitable thing called failure

To the terminally cancerous personality

It's all about the letdowns and the suffering

And nothing of the victories and overcoming

From them, you have nothing to learn

To them, every single thing is bullshit

From them, you cannot run fast enough

You taught me a new word, attitudinal! So that has to be worth something in itself, right? I liked this. It's a very good question and one I haven't found one universal answer to, but I do think it usually stems from a defect in the party pooper. :) I do like how it seems like your poem takes us on a journey, where we learn to rise above people who are hateful and not helpful. Nice message.

The answer is always the same, stay positive... negativity only sinks you lower. Especially when that negativity is justified. (it's the only time I recommend willful self delusion)

I like to play chameleon with my attitudes. I've found that for my taste the negative side of the spectrum is usually much more fun but the positive side much more fulfilling and infinitely more productive.
