A Plague in Slow-MotionA Poem by Davidgeo.Like a plague in slow-motion I can see the physical erosion Of the very health of my nation Almost everyone gets sick now Eventually Almost everyone is on drugs At some point for some reason Eventually Like it's a western tradition Eventually everyone’s unhealthy Goes crazy Gets cancer With a touch of obesity And a bit 'o diabetes Just ask old Mr Wilford Brimley Common is not always normal Over time I don’t care if I live longer Quality of life is more important I don’t need to outlast cancer I can chose not to suffer Euthanasia indeed one day may work for me ( or maybe I'll just eat healthier beforehand and die of a heart attack while running up a very steep hill pretending not to be too old for that s**t ) © 2018 DavidgeoAuthor's NoteFeatured ReviewReviews
