everything's fine and nothing is fine these two false realites constantly on my TV screen defining social movements via entertainment coercion making stupid s**t matter ignoring all nuance playing up victims pretending a central oppressor painting a simplified picture
always us vs them very far from reality
it's whatever catches the eye now as opportunity is finite scams certainly are not
we get fed such a distorted view of the world ... most don't question it and that is half the problem ... or probably much more than half
better to go within ... go the whole self discovery route ... leave the perceived reality behind ... I will be leaving soon ... you coming?

It's kinda douchey to filter your media input specifically tailored to sound just like you want to think though. I don't think that's living in reality.
I would come, but I've already been there for weeks.

Although I don't like how you structured it, but hey, everyone has their own style.
I feel like there would have been more impact if this was structured a little differently.
"constantly on my TV screen
defining social movements"
I do like these two lines.
I don't really know why I like them, but something about these two, I guess you could say, in my mind, brings the rest of the piece together.
It's probably not how you meant it to be, but it's just how my brain works.
Keep writing.
I look forward to reading more of your work.

And I disagree about the impact thing... I find rigid structure and form to be inherently limiting most of the time.
Ever read a book called 1984? That poem would make more sense to you if you thought about it in that context.
Media kinda controls the perception of the world beyond our immediate surroundings and it might not be anywhere near what reality actually is.
"Oceania is at war with Eeastasia and Oceania is not at war with Eastasia." 1984
Nowadays, my favorite pastime is to read between the lines. It is more fun, debating on the truth and helps develop the analytical part of my brain. Predicting something starkly different from general expectations is even better. 90% of the time the fake media proves me right.

YouTube and platforms similar in nature are probably going to be the future of news distribution. People are realizing that the big news outlets are only offering polarizing half truths, there is no nuance anymore just sensationalized talking points exaggerated to hold their viewing demographics' attention. Reasoned debate has gone almost completely extinct from cable news tv.
It's all a scam by the elites to pit the working class against each other. Pop culture is rotten and undeserving of our time. They want sheep and honestly most people want to be sheep. I could go on, but I think you expressed a growing concern as eloquently as one can. CD
The media is the first to shape footage to promote their own agenda.
We do need to find common ground with those folks not like us.

Sometimes we get so caught up in recognizing how different we all are that I think we forgot how many things most of us have in common. Intellectual diversity has suffered tremendously over this fact.
