what do you mean by 'to live clean' ? and don't you think we need to know lust from the inside out to move past it?

"leave clean' it reads 'leave clean'. Writing about living clean would be kind of hypocritical of me. Some people die in a pathetic way, full of regret and great sadness that they never figured out how to move past. I'd hope to think of the fulfilling things at the end, that would mean I really did move past whatever regrets I happened to have. The other way would not be a clean way to go. Ever see the movie "American Beauty"? That, despite being a very messy ending, was a really clean ending.

oh ya 'leave clean' I must have been drinking when I read that the first time - leaving clean makes perfect sense - you and I travel the same thought patterns - nice :)

Another simple, and uncomplicated poem. The words cleanse devoid of clutter or complexity, and yet there is a degree of extreme complexity for many in what the words request of the reader. Great job!

I’m also a fan of alliteration, so I like the repetition of the “l” sound and “d” in the last line.
