Just Climb

Just Climb

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"

from the edge of the precipice
of all my known limits
up close this ground is far to me
as a little small bit
among little small bits

from great distances
my shelf feels so unreal to me
when i peak my eyes over
as i frequently see nothing

from a darkness
she always calls to me
    "just climb"

It is what we do as human... climb. I think it's something about our desire to get as close to heaven (or whatever the individual calls it), above the danger, pain and mundanities of daily life. Even at risk of falling, perhaps looking down occasionally, we still claw our way skyward, out of the darkness. Another thought-provoking work.

sometimes all we can do in life is just climb

Nicely scribed. I took a bit of encouragement from this. I'll keep climbing.

such a wonderful piece of writing, an everyday reminder that we always go back to the basic of being human, to move on further, in order to survive, to climb the highest pinnacle of happiness and what our heart desires.

I think of those we've lost but know so well their voice travels with us pushing us forward. Ever reaching higher.

This is pretty great for a short poem. A lot of emotions and pictures in your words.
