The Cave is now "like" youtube
The Paint now is almost always digital
The Method as we go now randomly changes
        over time as it goes
                  constantly
The Incentives though, they have yet to do so
over Time, so goes profound expression
The Good Shib, lost across eons; but not all
       not Everything
what's carved into Rock into Stone trapped in Light

 it's how we do...  how after death we remain
                 in self modifying facsimiles 
      across ocean's of time...
        Everywhere; and for now? we are f*****g viral (fu)
We, the living dew
We, the human spam
Us fine 'n dandy Vikings
    excessively encompassing
   everything
Marking Time
for a living
          
Out From our Electric Caves
taking silly pictures
Through her  Frozen Skies

     Saving every single thing from the in-between (that we can)

so Yes. . . this entail's death 
        (for everyone of us)
and Individually,
We are the epitome
    of What will never Matter
as most things are practice
And Stupid
in this universe of faux consequence

   it is only the species that qualifies for recognition

 never You

this poem expresses the truth that there is no permanent thing in this world except change and the only thing that makes me ponder is, does change marks better of worse?

I think change as we know it is an illusion. Time is just something to be passed one way or another... we really are irrelevant. (I'm only nihilistic on a macro scale)

TK, this is a raw and original interpretation of today's world, humankind on his march for immortality. Though the faces are different, and we know death waits, we want to leave something behind. I wonder if that's not the underlying reason we create and post (though mostly garbage) so much on YouTube and social media sites. Is it our feeble attempt at immortality? Some digital trace of our individual existence? Yet, as you express in this poem, it matters not. Though our species may continue, we're dead even if masters of this digital age. Another thought-provoking work from you.

Thanks Robert. I think social media is a lot of things, attempts at augmenting our presence and leaving as original a mark as we can being the main one's. It's too bad so many people take it so seriously. Actually, I like it that way... it amuses me greatly. (i'm kind of a troll)
