Nobody Wins For Free

Nobody Wins For Free

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"

I have lost so much

That I know how to win;

          to be clutch,

     to be familiar with things

Like failure,

Like tragedy. . .

Dancing on the precipice of misery,

           it drains me

     but none the less,

I know this,   now;

I know that nothing is free,

That we pay to overcome things,

(our personal miseries, how we suffer)

Individually

I know that nothing is free. . . Nothing

(not even losing)

Incarnate, it costs just to be;

     none the less we exist -

So life is pain,

Traded for breathing. . .

But love is transcendent.

A kind of victory, regardless,

     (incarnate)

Even though I hate everything.

(happy birthday mums)

              you will always be why I try so hard

(no matter how I show it)

            or don't at all -

My light in the darkness. . .

My progenitor my mother,

That one rose that always grows

(regardless)

I got your back... forever and ever

Until our ends

                 i am yours
