That dude who plays him on the show does an really good job portraying that creepy b*****d. The real Ed Ward Kemper is still alive if you ever wanted to visit him in prison or send him a friendly letter.

That's kinda the point... Kemper is too dark for even the worst career criminals. There is true evil inside of him, he even admits it and refuses to attend his parole hearings or if he does he says s**t like "I will kill again, I cannot help it, keep me here forever."

He's truly a monster. His prison interviews are considered to be one of the crucial aspects among the case studies the FBI used to develop today's model of a serial killer. He was extremely intelligent, talkative and surprisingly honest. He's still alive in prison if you're looking for a pen pal.

One feels a tiny glimmer of sympathy when reading of his childhood but then it disappears in the sheer light of his animalness. It would be thrilling to befriend him but he must be so in demand already! Then I have my own demons to tackle. :)

You'd be surprised... no one really wants to deal with him outside of academia. Even if regular people did want to see this freak the prison bureau makes it nearly impossible unless you have a legit academic purpose. Probably because the DOJ doesn't want to make celebrities out of serial killers. . . however, you can still send him mail ( and he does respond; ask me about that privately )
