Do Not Be Afraid For Him

Do Not Be Afraid For Him

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

"

I saw a man once

On the precipice of death

Just before he left me

Very clearly

I saw serenity

  It overcame him violently

And then He said to me

Before the angels sped him away

              To his grave

Without any sense of humor

The last thing he said to me

Was “do not be afraid for me”

Do not be afraid for me

Hi,

"I saw serenity

It overcame him violently"

Uhm! The word play. Serenity that is calm is taking someone violently.

"Before the angels sped him away

To his grave"

Angels take people to light(or so i believe), why use grave here?

"Without any sense of humor" why do you think a dead man will have humour....?

With love,

:) okay. I agree. Anyways, well done.
The concluding line repeated, enhances the soothing effect of this well executed piece. I feel more assured now, after reading this. Thank you.
