I saw a man once

On the precipice of death

Just before he left me

Very clearly

I saw serenity

  It overcame him violently

         And then He said to me

Before the angels sped him away

              To his grave

Without any sense of humor

         The last thing he said to me

Was “do not be afraid for me”

Uhm! The word play. Serenity that is calm is taking someone violently.

Angels take people to light(or so i believe), why use grave here?

It wasn't a serious question. I was mocking the arbitrary nature of the question you asked. I don't believe in angels or any of that nonsense so, to me, your question about why I used 'grave' in my poems is preposterous to me.
