that one tale that's timeless
pretending cultural war's
to prepare for actual war's
and we'll never see it coming
not the end time
just like the history stories
that never really see it coming
not even that last and final
          assault upon the individual
the sui generis moment of the rage
that brings all those barbarian hoard's
that one thing that finally allows them
             to take over
wholesale
             to rule as tyrant's
           with confidence
       pander to trend's
    appease idiot's
and profit from chaos
(sigh)
it's quite sad
         how this s**t just ain't predictable
                 'till it's way too f*****g late
