bad teacher(s)

As a student unafraid of the teacher
I tend to get bad grades
As a student too familiar with the material
I tend to instill hatreds
From the teacher afraid of being taught
They tend to grade me hard
From the teacher just making a living
They tend to their egos
And everything not them
            Is wrong
And definitely not on the exam

How often this play out in our lives and children's? Examination is not true test of Intelligence with all these factors involved.

I can relate on many levels to this. As a person who dropped out of highschool with many of these feelings. Later i went on to get a BS in computing technology as a show to those teachers who will never know my successes that i was not the person they saw. There are good teachers and bad teachers. College taught me that it wasn't about the teacher. It was about how we choose to learn in light of that teacher. Thanks enjoyed the read.

As a descendant from a long line of teachers, I was raised to respect them and never get out of line. Unfortunately, the older i got, the less of the ''real'' ones have crossed my path. You brought quite a painful subject. The exam though, has nothing to do with real life i suppose...

I'm probably being hard on the vast majority of teachers with this one. It's not even debatable... some of best people I've come across are teachers. But none the less, one bad teacher can poison an entire local generation of students.

It gets worse as you get older. I'm 35 with a bunch of GI bill credits left so for fun I take community college classes I've already taken at university years ago. Occasionally I'll catch a "teacher" trying to pass off ideology as fact in class... they don't f**k with my grade but they treat me with contempt every day after.

This rings some truth.....I'm not too sure about the musicality of certain parts, but I love how it's constructed and the progression of thoughts. Well done!
