ideals from yesterday
live up to tomorrow
only very rarely
justice, wealth,
goodness, prosperity
of an age's defined epistemology...
it's all relative
not a species' specific heuristic
no,
it is not that at all
such transient meanings
while fun
and delightful
also often misleads
and obfuscates
(as a part of the funzies)
anyway
i pretentiously state. . .
that
it's all meant to go down man
all etiquette's meant to be violated
always at some point
taboo's become common
and the common taboo
eventually
dem's da rules
over time each and every such thing
must lose its purpose
every so often
a culture must die
(the rule of change)
our very future depends on this
. . . annihilation of culture
this destruction of shame
(among other things)
providing playbooks
from burnt ashes
and some very painful hindsight
remembered
then refined
into an offer of a better way forward
(ya bunch a f****n' nazi's!)
given the times. . .
the past is our campfire
how we keep warm in the present
and as for the future. . .
who cares?
as long as it's warm
i'd burn my own soul
and call it new age morality
then maybe change my name to jesus
and join a bowling league
