we don't have to be opposite

just to be different

it is possible

i have seen it

when the world catches fire

facing desperation and ruin

on the border of chaos and order

we all tend be human

together and fast

despite all of our differences

in unison we would attack

all that would kill us

it is possible

i have seen it

in chaos

all kinds of humans

come together

though, in prosperity

we tend to get petty

with no common enemy

we turn on each other

blood for blood

it is already happening

we have already seen it

It all seems so easy and yet here we are stuffing it up on a grand scale. Funny how life in community can live together in diversity and yet the big boys with their big boy toys always like to add petrol to the flames.

This is quite an optimistic outlook on life. There is truth in the statement that on the verge of chaos we get a little closer to each other. I've seen it happen in my country as well, since the one that's next to us has active war going on, it made us different. Some, better. But a very insignificant amount. I suppose one needs to witness the dark side of humanity to awaken their own. I liked the thoughts this one evoked.

Conflict invokes growth, peace invokes stagnation.

They are not exactly opposites, but they are very different. Kinda like how a body builder puts on mass; extreme stress to induce growth.

I think evolution, both biological and intellectual, works the same way. I think so anyway.

And of course, without periods of peace conflict will cannibalize any growth that was made.

Yup, when i was in high school, which was eons ago, i loved listening to it while playing need for speed lol along with rob zombie, rancid,linkin park, soundgarden, incubus etc
