Unobviously Stunted

Unobviously Stunted

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"

underneath my loudest anger
in between my most penetrating insults
lies the silliest truth
poorly veiled but none the less writhing

unquestionably vague

affecting everything

meaning nothing

none the less i do hear it

(very clearly)
 and it goes something like...
no matter how well articulated
my rage and fury ever seems to be
at the bottom of all that i call me
lies an obvious and simple truth...
that i never grew up
even still, even now

with a decent vocabulary
i'm nothing but a petulant child

ruled by temper

guided by impulse

if i had more hair i'd be a werewolf

longer teeth, a vampire

a well adjusted life, a real live human

You have a bit of humour to this was. Can't tell whether it was intentional, but it struck me as funny here and there as you go on your philosophical ramblings. Well done!

We are all just children still playing make believe I think. Just some are better than others. :) Good read.

This is really cool. Also very human and relatable

I like the honesty of this. Few see beneath the layers of blindness and self-deceit. Kind of an unserious seriousness, playfully hinting at the truths. I like this.
