Ever been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan in a high tempo combat capacity multiple times for very long periods of time? Ever go through basic training, advanced individual training, air assualt school, pathfinder, airbourne, etc., etc.? Civilians don't understand the incredible difficulty that comes with being a combat arms type of soldier... the stress, the pain, the dead friends, the violence on both sides of it... it's easy to say what you are trying to say if you have no intimate experience with that. I'm not that numb inside yet, when people lie about that s**t openly and constantly it f*****g enrages me and s***s on everything that anyone has ever sacrificed. I get it I do. I think I may have mentioned before that my mate is a Commando for the Aus Army, he has been deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, Timor so many times it ain't funny. He was there when his mate was killed, he was there when his other mate had both his legs blown off (I've met him - very decent person) ... everytime he gets back to Aus we get together. We talk, or we don't talk, he views civvies as monkeys, and yes to a degree civilains are monkeys and no we will never truly understand what you guys go through. So what can I do then? Nothing, besides be there, listen, understand.

Usually when I bust the fakers they delete their profiles and run away or start another one without mentioning their fake service. There is this one guy on here though, user name Wordman. It's actually pretty easy to verify if someone has served in the military in America, it's all a matter of public record by law. Anyone can request, through the Freedom of Information Act, to see if someone formally served in any branch of the military. That's how I got him to take down his blatantly made up claims but that didn't last... he still tells people here that he served and he still claims it on his profile.... he's more subtle about it now but he blocked me and went on pretending because he really just is... that f*****g pathetic. If you truly care about this leave him a comment on his profile, ask him to specifically tell you all about his "military service", he's not even good at lying about it. Then tell him I said hi and to stop the stolen valor act.

I haven't been on here much in years due to having a baby and moving and some large life changes, so imagine my surprise upon logging in and seeing that Wordman is still a pain for people on here. I have him blocked and have had him blocked since he was proven to steal poetry from other writers and upon being called out on it, accused me of cheating on my husband on here of all twilight zone things to pull out of nothing. I'm sorry he's still being a problem on here for writers. I'm amazed it's still happening.

I don't understand why he continues to lie so much despite constantly getting caught red handed. Everyone knows what he is, but people placate him out of pity or apathy and that emboldens him to continue his moronically irrational pathological bullshit narrative. Ha... he accused you of cheating on your husband? Why? What the... how could he possibly expect anyone to believe that? Ugh... I don't know anything about this conflict, but you should report this person to writerscafe staff. I don't really see this as a poem so much as a vulgar rant. But I am an amateur writer and not qualified to say for certain what doesn't constitute as a poem. I don't feel that this is the best or most dignified way to go about this situation, but that is a matter of personal preference. What does and does not constitute a poem is not at all bound by hard and fast rules, call it free form poetry if you really need to label it.
