then turned right the f**k into a comic book character

a one, mr mighty formidable

  

blessed to never win

like a cancer patient

 on a great deal of acid

oh what a foil

   how hilarious

      how transcendent

he did die eventually

    but, not really

Lenny Bruce ain't really dead

He became music

    of the free range variety,

crass absurdity of the times...

    though 

Doug Stanhope now's funnier

              (but only because of him)

His template is now everlasting

Lenny Bruce was before my time but when he died i was a teen and was in the process of "catching up" with him so to speak ...he was revered by those he awakened ...but he could care less eh!? times have changed a lot ...the Beats and Lenny ...i agree ..are not dead .. a pity they never came alive for too many today ... your poem has got me pondering this morning ..it brings up a whole array of "stuff" ... i think i am just going to pray for help for everyone ..;) can i call that good? ... or at least good enough?? damn! what a bunch of people we are .... :}
