Star Wagon

Star Wagon

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"

at the nape of the neck

you can grasp a beast

with mere fingertips

say the youth, say the vigorous,

and at the root of that soul

you can see what drives men

you can watch it unfold,

watch it unravel

with mere, tragedy,

personal and simple,

at the tips of fate...

beyond the grasp of the greatest

intentions,

lies the unavoidable

end of a trek,

when you're broken down

and facing a beast undefeated,

alive!

it's called time, ya puss wagon...

and no one gets out of this alive,

but we will carry you with us...

from the root of the root

we are all made of stars,

collected light for the darkness

from the dead unto the living

we are here now,

let's please continue then...

until we can't,

here now, for those who couldn't

be with us,

we are their 'can't'...

so cheers to that

When mentioned of "grasping the beast at the nape of the neck", do you mean, that the youth and vigorous believe they can stop time, or delay it? It can seem that way sometimes with age. The young feel invincible to the beast and believe they could tame it so. I enjoy the deep thoughts I had to put into the first part, and then you just blurt out what it's all about. Very unexpected and yet remarkable.
