When mentioned of "grasping the beast at the nape of the neck", do you mean, that the youth and vigorous believe they can stop time, or delay it? It can seem that way sometimes with age. The young feel invincible to the beast and believe they could tame it so. I enjoy the deep thoughts I had to put into the first part, and then you just blurt out what it's all about. Very unexpected and yet remarkable.

Not exactly, I think it's more of an underestimating and shallow understanding of time that only the experience of time and it's consequences can truly remedy.
