Boris v Bela

Boris v Bela

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.I promise this makes sense if you try hard enough.

"

look at how smooth you do move

in between history, the gods

your reality

  you do it

for the 'softly'

in the in between

of what was really meant

for all of us, conventionally

in between causality

circumventing things

                               (for convenience)

from bodies

into desire

back into confusion

call her our neo-retro millionaire

  sans Feeling

dominating wars of yesterday

the perfect, the painting

the unclaimed lottery ticket

what's worth a fortune

so hey there

   fugface

art does not improve

she just shines off reality

you can laugh if you'd like to

take what gets you through the

day

I guess art has its way of seducing. Your line, "She just shines off reality," is absolutely stunning. Art has her wiles and never fails to entice. An equally important aspect of art, besides self-expression, is escapism. Art, in all of its forms, makes reality a little more bearable and less lonely. (Oh, I do love the 'Ex Machina" image for this piece.)

I am starting to really like your writing style. It feels like you're putting quite an effort to each one of your poems, and they are certainly not understandable from the start (which is a good thing, for me). Keep it on!

It's not as much effort as you'd think. I think most of my word salads are less than 150 words.

I think I can make sense of it, a little. Is part of it about enjoying art for art's sake?
